Your uploaded files are processed, then deleted. We keep what you'd expect an account to keep: your email, your generated outputs, and enough operational data to run the service. We don't sell data, we don't run ads, and we don't use your files to train AI models.
Account: email address, display name (optional), and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
Content: the outputs you generate (dashboards, trust reports, living reports, extracts) and any brand assets you upload, stored until you delete them or your account.
Operational: job records (file name, status, timestamps), usage counts against plan limits, API key hashes, rate-limit counters, and product events (for example: a generation started or failed) tied to your account id.
An uploaded spreadsheet or PDF is stored only long enough to process it. Analysis runs in an isolated code-execution sandbox. When processing succeeds or fails, the uploaded file is deleted from our storage, and any copies sent to the AI provider for processing are deleted at the end of the run. What remains is the output you created, in your account.
Microsoft Azure hosts the service and stores data (United States regions). Anthropic provides AI processing for generation and question answering; files are sent there transiently for those steps under their commercial API terms, which do not permit training on customer data. Cloudflare provides DNS and network services. Azure Communication Services sends transactional email (password resets).
One session cookie keeps you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Dashboards and trust reports are private to your account unless you create a share link. Anyone with a share link (and its token) can view that output, so treat share links like the data they contain. You can rotate or delete shared items at any time.
Uploaded files: deleted after processing, automatically. Generated outputs and account data: kept until you delete them or ask us to delete your account (hello@chartberry.io), after which they are removed from live storage promptly and from backups on backup expiry.
Email hello@chartberry.io to access, export, correct, or delete your data. We answer within 30 days.
Material changes to this policy will be announced on the site before they take effect.
